  The Winter/Spring   session is full. The next semester begins Monday September 10th, 2012.

 The Guitar Apprentice classes are $20 an hour with 8 total class hours per month ($160 a month). Payments are due on the first class of each month or the semester can be paid in advance. NO REFUNDS AFTER THE FIRST TWO WEEKS.

The student will focus on two elements, both to be applied to either a live performance setting or songwriting/studio setting;

• Physical skill
• An intellectual understanding of music theory

There are 3 levels of progress each 20 weeks in length;

• Beginner
• Intermediate
• Advanced

This class meets twice per week. During day one of each level, the student will thoroughly work on finger dexterity, rhythmic coordination, and endurance. Next, the student will study and progress in his or her understanding of music theory. Subsequently, day two will provide the opportunity for practical application of both the physical exercises and academic understanding of theory in a live performance setting or studio session setting. Students MUST have previous guitar instruction and pass the beginner guitar requirements (see beginner guitar page). Also, students MUST own their own instrument and practice amp. An electric guitar is preferred but not required.
